In the past year HZA was awarded the following contracts:

Anchorage, Alaska: a contract with the Alaska Court System funded by the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority to evaluate the Palmer Coordinated Resource Court, a court serving adults with mental illness.

Hartford, Connecticut: a contract with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families to conduct an assessment of systems and services involving sexually and seriously physically abused children.

Madison, Wisconsin: a contract with the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Director of State Courts Office, to conduct an evaluation of the court improvement initiative in the child welfare and foster care arenas.

Madison, Wisconsin: a contract with the Wisconsin Division of Children and Family Services to reorganize Wisconsin's policies and develop an online policy manual organized in accordance with the case flow processes.

Augusta, Maine: a contract with the University of Southern Maine to evaluate the effectiveness of prevention strategies mounted by six Maine universities and colleges in reducing high-risk drinking among college students.

Raleigh, North Carolina: a contract with the North Carolina Judicial Department to assess the role and effectiveness of the state's courts in handling cases involving the interstate placement of foster children.

Madison, Wisconsin: a contract with the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Director of State Courts Office, to assess the adequacy of state statutes as well as the effectiveness of court processes in managing cases involving the interstate placement of foster children.

Tallahassee, Florida: a contract with the Florida Department of Children and Families to conduct an assessment of referrals of abuse which were not accepted for investigation to identify what alternative responses were made and with what results.

Atlanta, Georgia: a contract with the Georgia Department of Human Resources to determine if cases classified as Title IV-E satisfy the federal eligibility criteria.

Augusta, Maine: a contract with the Maine Office of Elder Services to conduct a needs assessment of services provided to elderly community members who lived in subsidized housing with a goal of keeping them independent.

Portland, Maine: a contract with Day One, a substance abuse treatment provider for adolescents, to evaluate Natural Helpers of Maine, a peer support program.

In the past year HZA was awarded continuations to the following contracts:

Tallahassee, Florida: a contract with the Florida Department of Children and Families to assist with the quality assurance assessment of the Abuse Hotline and Criminal Investigation Unit.

Augusta, Maine: a contract with the Maine Judicial Branch to evaluate the implementation of the Co-occurring Court in Kennebec County.

Little Rock, Arkansas: a contract with the University of Arkansas to provide ongoing quality assurance services for the Arkansas Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Children and Family Services.

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania: a contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare to conduct data analysis for the Child and Family Services Review as well as standard reporting for state and county agencies on behalf of the Office of Children, Youth and Families.

Augusta, Maine: a contract with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services to evaluate the New Families Home Visiting program.

Little Rock, Arkansas: a contract with the Arkansas Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Children and Family Services to support and evaluate Adoption Services Coalitions.

Tallahassee, Florida: a contract with the Florida Department of Children and Families to provide a comprehensive ongoing package of training for staff at the Florida Abuse Hotline and Criminal Investigation Unit.

Augusta, Maine: a contract with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services to evaluate Maine’s Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant.

Richmond, Virginia: a contract with the Virginia Department of Social Services to conduct a follow-up workload study of both social services, child welfare and benefits programs.

Augusta, Maine: a contract with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services to evaluate the Co-occurring State Incentive Grant.

Augusta, Maine: a contract with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services to evaluate the Trauma-informed System of Care project.
