Child Care Administration

      HZA was contracted to evaluate the needs of children and families receiving subsidized child care. A review was conducted of the structure for administering child care subsidies. HZA identified potential expansions in the use of technology for the administration and delivery of child care services and mechanisms for the reduction of waiting lists through the expansion of funding resources.

      Research and Data Analysis Services Provided by Organizations

      From 2014 to 2019 HZA has pre-qualified with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to bid on projects in the areas of public health research and development and/or analysis of data or other information and materials. HZA is eligible to provide the department with technical assistance and expertise to generate the statistics needed to complete the requirements for grant applications, to inform the legislature and the public of the emerging and existing public health concerns, to tailor new intervention and prevention programs as well as evaluate the currently existing programs, and to generate knowledge to further improve the public’s health.

      Technical Assistance and Training

      HZA was contracted by the Northeast Regional Expert Team, a SAMHSA-funded technical assistance agency, to provide training and technical assistance to grantees in the Northeast Region. HZA developed and carried out a series of webinars and provided face-to-face and telephone technical assistance for an evaluation to state incentive grantees on topics relating to the evaluation of social marketing and related prevention strategies.
