Evaluation of Membership Recruitment and Retention

      In 2001, HZA was contracted by the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association to conduct an examination of its membership base and the products and services provided to members; evaluate the needs of current members; identify other potential membership bases; and develop a marketing plan for the organization's future development.

      Organizational Assessment of the Child Welfare League of America

      The Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) hired HZA to evaluate its regional office structure in 2000. Three goals were set: identify if CWLA is best served by its regional office structure, and if not, what should that structure be; what roles should the regional offices play and how; and how staff in the offices should spend their time. Face-to-face and telephone interviews were conducted with the Board Chairman; executive staff including managers and directors; regional office staff; regional chairs of CWLA steering committees and member agencies. HZA recommended change in the organizational structure and roles; the central office level needed to be more accessible to regional staff.
